More info

Carved from richly banded malachite, this obelisk reveals concentric greens and flowing patterns that shift beautifully with the light.

A patinated-brass base, as shown in the product photos, lifts the silhouette, adds warmth and frames the piece as a display-ready sculpture in a cabinet-of-curiosities spirit.

The dialogue between deep green and amber patina is elegant and precise: on a console, bookshelf or desk, the obelisk serves as a focal accent that draws the eye without overpowering the setting.

Malachite has long been treasured for its graphic veining and immediate decorative impact.

It pairs naturally with both historic cabinets and contemporary interiors: a light marble or travertine tray heightens the patterns, while ebonized wood adds quiet richness.

Placed under a glass dome, the piece gains a museum-like aura; styled alongside a pale specimen (milky quartz) or a metallic object (brushed brass), it creates a clear material dialogue.

Noted sources famed for beautiful malachite include the DR Congo (Katanga/Lualaba), the Ural Mountains in Russia, selected localities in Morocco and Namibia-regions that continue to shape collectors’ taste and today’s curated displays.

Care is straightforward yet gentle: dust with a dry microfiber cloth; avoid abrasive products, acidic cleaners and soaking.

This preserves the polished surface while allowing the brass patina to age gracefully.

Slender, graphic and timeless, the malachite obelisk introduces a poetic, mineral accent-an elegant way to anchor a corner vignette or to complete a refined shelf arrangement.
