More info

A true icon of natural beauty and transformation, the Monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) is presented here under a hand-blown glass dome, its vibrant orange and black wings seemingly frozen in graceful flight.

Native to North America, the Monarch is celebrated for its striking graphic pattern and its legendary migration : thousands of miles from Canada to Mexico every year, guided purely by instinct.

The composition features several butterflies delicately mounted to recreate the illusion of a circular, ascending dance.

Resting on a matte black wooden base, the clarity of the glass enhances the brilliance of the wings while creating an elegant sense of levitation.

Each piece is hand-prepared by skilled entomological artisans using precise and respectful preservation techniques.

All specimens come from responsible breeding programs, ensuring both ethical sourcing and the conservation of wild populations.

The result is a captivating piece that bridges art, science, and natural history : a modern-day curiosity that embodies both wonder and refinement.

Compact yet eye-catching, its dimensions make it ideal for a shelf, desk, or console table.

Whether in a modern interior or a classic setting, this dome adds a poetic and timeless presence.

Dimensions: Height 16 cm x 11 cm in diameter / 6"3 × 4"3.
