This magnificent hot-air balloon style chandelier is a true showpiece of decorative artistry, featuring five outwardly projected arms and an elegant silhouette reminiscent of the balloon flights that captivated France in the late 18th century.

It combines faceted cut-glass pendants with delicate glass beads, creating a dazzling play of light and sparkle.

Its frame is crafted from a precisely formed metal grid, entirely wrapped in fine, tightly stretched threads.

Each of these threads is adorned with minute glass beads, forming a luminous sheath that completely covers the structure and gives the chandelier its distinctive texture and jewel-like quality.

The gilded bronze ornaments, meticulously hand-chiselled, feature decorative elements such as pinecone finials, floral garlands, and ribbon bows signature motifs of the Louis XVI style.

Emerging in France in the late 1700s, this neoclassical style drew inspiration from ancient Roman and Greek art, favouring symmetry, harmony, and nature-inspired embellishments to evoke the refinement of the Enlightenment era.

Wired for eleven E14 bulbs of up to 40 watts, this chandelier produces a rich, even illumination.
