More info

Superb painting reproduction on canvas with aged and cracked effect, mounted on an aged wooden chassis also patinated, as if this painting had been discovered looking in an old attic, a work of art hidden from sight and carefully preserved.

This painting depicts "View of the Giudecca Canal with the Gesuati Church, Venice" painted by Francesco Guardi (italian painter).
The original of this work was made between 1770 and 1780.

First painter of figures, Francesco Guardi quickly turned to the urban landscape, an area in which he developed a singular pictorial language.
If he draws inspiration from Canaletto's work, he moves away from it by a more free, vibrant, almost impressionist style before the hour.
Her canvases are distinguished by the depth of their perspectives, the refined radiance of their palette, the light silverhe bathe the scenes, and the picturesque agitation of his miniature characters – the famous macchiette – sketched with vivacity and expressiveness.

A sensitive and talented columnist of Venetian life, Guardi excels in capturing the ceremonies, festivals and public events that rhythmize the Serenism.
The painting presented here is part of a set of twelve works inspired by engravings from Canaletto's drawings, recounting the great moments of public life of Doge Alvise IV Mocenigo.
Ten of these paintings are now preserved at the Louvre, while the twelfth belongs to the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium in Brussels.

Dive into the heart of the Serenissimo with this striking veduta: Francesco Guardi captures here the brilliance of the Giudecca Canal one day of beautiful light.
On the left, the solemn silhouette of the church of Santissimo Redentore, masterpiece of Andrea Palladio, stands with its classical pediment, its large central dome and its two square campaniles.
To the right, the warehouses and shipyards of the Zattere echo the incessant movement of the Latin sailed bragozzi that crossed the elegant black gondolas loaded with passengers.

Guardi, undisputed master of laguna light, module here a warm palette of blues silvers and pearl grey; each quick touch lets the canvas vibrate, as if the sea wind still crossed the scene. Fine cracks – patina natural work of more than two centuries old – reinforce its authentic character.

This work shows an extraordinary pictorial quality and particularly elaborated with exceptional precision.

This fantastic finely made painting will have the extreme elegance to add an extra touch to your interior decoration by decorating your walls with the elegance of the old.

Very beautiful realization that will be perfect to dress your walls.
