More info

This magnificent Louis XVI style flat desk perfectly embodies the elegance and architectural precision of the 18th century.

Its sober and harmonious silhouette rests on four tapered square column legs, giving the piece a sense of balance and noble presence.

The top is adorned with a fine brown leather writing surface, delicately framed with gilt tooling, offering a refined yet functional workspace.

Around the edges and apron, a rich ornamentation of hand-chiseled gilt bronze unfolds, with garlands, ribbons, and neoclassical motifs typical of Louis XVI style.

Each decorative element, carefully crafted by skilled artisans, adds a luxurious glow that enhances the marquetry.

The structure is veneered with rare and precious woods, their natural shades and contrasts beautifully emphasized through the intricate marquetry.

Every detail highlights the grain of the wood, further enhanced by a traditional French polish (tampon varnish), which ensures both long-lasting shine and depth.

For practicality, the desk features a large central drawer, beautifully decorated with bronze appliqués and fully removable.

This makes it not only a statement of elegance but also a functional piece, suitable for everyday use in a refined study, office, or reception room.

A true masterpiece of Louis XVI-inspired furniture, this writing desk achieves the perfect balance between classical sobriety and decorative richness, making it a timeless creation that will elevate any distinguished interior.
