Magnificent and faithful re-edition of an old religious statue of the Virgin Mary with a crown, holding in her arms the haloed child Jesus.
The set is in polychrome plaster.

Totally representative of the religious statues in vogue in the 19th century from Rome to Lourdes, without forgetting Paris where the famous Maison Raffl specifically implemented a plaster molding technique which allowed their democratization.
Here a rare copy due to its size, its decoration, its colors.
