More info

This magnificent Empire-style pedestal table embodies the finest expression of French Neoclassical refinement.

Its circular top features an exceptional artistic composition: at the center, a hand-painted floral scene depicts a lush arrangement of chrysanthemums in warm tones, blending soft beige petals with vibrant touches of orange.

The flowers intertwine gracefully against a deep black background, creating a striking contrast that enhances every brushstroke.

This floral motif recalls the opulent decoration found in early 19th-century master cabinetry.

The edge of the tabletop is adorned with precious wood marquetry, displaying elegant grain patterns that bring warmth and sophistication to the piece.

A gilded brass border surrounds the top, adding a subtle luminous accent and completing its harmonious silhouette.

The apron, also marquetry-decorated, is embellished with a delicate ornamental frieze, highlighting the craftsmanship behind this creation.

The base of the table is equally impressive. Each of the three legs is crowned with a finely chiselled bronze caryatid head, sculpted with remarkable precision.

The inner faces of the legs are gilded with gold leaf, offering a noble contrast to the dark wood.

At the junction of the legs sits a central bronze pinecone, symbol of abundance and eternity, adding balance and sculptural presence.

The feet end in beautifully crafted gilded bronze sabots that enhance the table’s imperial character.

Perfect as an accent table in an entrance hall, living room or study, this guéridon stands as a strong decorative statement and a quintessential example of Empire elegance.

A distinguished piece for collectors and lovers of exceptional furniture.
