More info

This magnificent Louis XV style desk is a true work of art, perfectly illustrating the refinement of French cabinetmaking.

Its elegant structure rests on cabriole legs adorned with finely chiseled gilt bronze mounts, sculpted entirely by hand with acanthus leaves and scroll motifs.

These bronze ornaments, meticulously detailed, bring a timeless brilliance to the piece.

The entire desk is veneered with exquisite marquetry composed of rare woods.

It features elm burr, recognizable by its swirling, intricate grain, combined with mahogany, whose deep warm tones create striking contrasts.

The central panel of the top displays a circular inlay framed by geometric motifs, executed with perfect symmetry : a testimony to the exceptional craftsmanship of the artisans.

Each veneer is precisely cut, fitted, and polished to enhance the natural beauty of the wood.

Functionality meets elegance with three spacious drawers, seamlessly integrated into the sinuous apron of the desk.

The drawers are fitted with ornate gilt bronze handles, while the central drawer can be locked with a provided key, adding practicality to this decorative masterpiece.

The finish is achieved using the traditional French polish technique, applied with a pad, which enhances the natural depth of the woods, creating a smooth, glossy surface that captures the light beautifully.

More than just a piece of furniture, this Louis XV style desk embodies the perfect alliance between functionality and decorative elegance.

Whether placed in a refined home office, a classic living room, or a library, it will bring an air of sophistication and timeless charm.
