Originally, this oversized hand is probably a plaster edition by an unknown 19th century artist.
Before the final bronze edition was made, sculptors often produced plaster models, numbered and signed. Found in the basement of a foundry, it will never be identified since it bears no clues.
However, it will forever retain the talent of the artist who made it.
