More info

This square glass soliflore pairs a perfectly clear body with a constellation of blue half-spheres applied on the outside.

Light bounces on the coloured domes, travels through the transparent volume and produces soft halos as you turn the piece.

The mood nods to the late 1960s-early 1970s pop-art and studio-glass era while reading decidedly contemporary on a console, desk or shelf.

On the making side, hot work is followed by precise cold finishing.

The clear square body is formed first. The blue pads are hot-applied as small gathers that are marvered and fused onto the surface, then the piece is annealed to stabilise stress.

Faces are subsequently ground and polished to a mirror gloss, which gives crisp edges and stable planes.

This sequence explains the optical clarity, the secure adhesion of the domes and the lively light effects.

As a handmade object, expect subtle variations in tone, tiny bubbles or flow lines that attest to its craft.

As a soliflore, it is designed for a single stem : fresh or dried, and it also stands beautifully empty as a small art object.

Blue accents pop against pale backgrounds and create rich relief on dark wood or stone.

Care is straightforward: dry microfiber cloth only; avoid solvents and abrasives.

Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight behind glazing.
