Elegant set of 3 cylindrical grain measures - also called "Boisseaux" - dating from the end of the 19th century.
Made of metal, they each have their own measure: Double Litre, Litre and Demi-Litre.
The system of weights and measures in use in France at the end of the 18th century was very complex, there were more than 800 names for the measures and each name had an infinite number of values...
