More info

Referring to scientific laboratories and cabinets de curiosités in the past, this magnifier of entomologist or botanist staged a real glass lens of 20 cm diameter.

From the optical of a scientific instrument of the 19th century, the lightly curved lens still reveals subtle green reflections, witness to its ancient glass composition.

Fixed in a matt black metal support, designed as a museum display, it turns into a luminous and functional sculpture: approach a naturalized insect, a herbarium fragment or an ancient document, and the magic of enlargement operates instantly.

Its sleek design - semicircular metal arc, thin vertical stem and stable rectangular base - allows it to be integrated into a natural science amateur library, on a desk collector only on a contemporary console.

Placed against a light source, the lens captures and diffractions light, creating elegant halos that participate in the staging.

Perfect to offer or decorate!
