More info

Referring to the legendary courage of shōbōshi – the firefighters of Japan of the Edo era (17th-18th century) – this arm whose hand is articulated is in linden and pays tribute to the ancestral art of l'irezumi.

Each inch of wood is hand decorated in our workshops:

  • Crane in full flight under a rising sun and plum branches, symbols of longevity and renewal.

  • Daruma lucky bear nestled in a bouquet of peonies, winking at perseverance and luck.

  • On the column of the arm, the intrepid Kintarō riding a koi carp recalls the heroic force capable of raising currents.

  • The phalanges receive little my (family coat of arms) painted in red and black, typical detail of irezumi codes.

Mounted on a discrete turned base, the arm stands like a workshop totem: its moving joints allow you to adjust the pose to present a jewel, feather or business card.

The patina linden honey, subtly aged, contrasts with the black jais and vermilion inks applied by hand, making each copy absolutely unique.

Perfect for a cabinet de curiosités, a tattoo shop or a desk this tattooed arm celebrates the encounter between western and japanese symbolic craftsmanship.
