This fragment of a discophore bust comes from the reproduction of an original bronze statue (now lost, created by the Greek sculptor Naucydès at the beginning of the 4th century BC), the translation of which is currently kept in the galleries of the Louvre Museum in Paris.
The bust presented here is a so-called "bronze fragment" version.

Sumptuous decorative sculpture, finely made with an elegant oxidized bronze patina representing a bronze-colored discophore torso.

This large, high quality reproduction has a fantastic patina.
The base is in black metal.

The extreme elegance and perfection of this sculpture remains an exemplary piece of Greek art of the time!
