Large size reproduction of a cherub's head, probably sculpted by the artist Bernini.
It may appear in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, a well-known symbol of the Baroque era.
These faces of angels recognizable by their very particular style were carved in the ceilings of churches, and intended to be seen from below and from very far away, so their proportions and expressions were always calculated according to this perspective.
