Spectacular in both presence and movement, this large equestrian sculpture is inspired by an early 19th-century bronze model by Monti. The horse is captured in a trotting pose, expressing strength, elegance and control through a remarkably balanced silhouette and carefully modelled musculature.

Its fragmented treatment is one of the most striking aspects of the piece. Missing sections, cracks and irregular breaks across the body evoke an ancient sculpture recovered and marked by time. The deep black bronze-effect patina, enriched with subtle brown and bronze tones, emphasizes the relief and enhances its fascinating archaeological appearance.

Created through a moulding process and carefully finished to reproduce the character of aged bronze, the sculpture conveys the powerful presence of a historical artwork. The expressive head, mane, muscular volumes and legs are particularly well defined. The raised foreleg introduces genuine movement, giving the impression that the animal has been frozen in mid-stride.

Mounted on two slender black metal supports above an elegant transparent base, the horse appears almost suspended in space. This discreet presentation allows the silhouette to remain the absolute focal point while bringing an unexpected visual lightness to the composition.
