More info

This large decorative terracotta sculpture pays tribute to the artistic world of Amedeo Modigliani and to the distinctive elongated faces that became one of the defining features of his portraits. The female face is characterised by a remarkably slender oval, a long straight nose, almond-shaped eyes and delicately modelled lips. Its stylised hairstyle extends the vertical composition even further, giving the sculpture a particularly elegant and graphic silhouette.

Crafted from terracotta in a warm off-white tone and finished with an aged patina, the sculpture intentionally displays subtle irregularities and variations in texture. These nuances give the surface additional depth and create the impression of an artwork that might have emerged from an established private collection or museum setting. Despite its substantial presence, the very elongated proportions keep the piece visually light and refined.

Displayed on a console table, sideboard, pedestal or dedicated plinth, this sculpture naturally becomes a focal point within the room. It is particularly suited to a collector’s apartment, sophisticated living room, library, impressive entrance hall or eclectic interior combining antiques with contemporary art and design. It can also create a distinctive gallery-like atmosphere in a hotel, restaurant or prestigious reception space.

Its neutral patinated finish makes it easy to combine with stone, wood, metal and natural materials, while its strong silhouette also works beautifully against darker or more contemporary backgrounds. More than a simple decorative accessory, this sculpture introduces genuine artistic presence into an interior and will particularly appeal to lovers of modern art, expressive sculptural forms and interiors designed with a strong sense of identity.
