More info

This large decorative sculpture in black patinated terracotta pays tribute to the artistic world of Amedeo Modigliani and to the unmistakably elongated faces that became one of the defining features of his work. The female face is characterised by an exceptionally slender oval, a long straight nose, almond-shaped eyes and delicately modelled lips. Its stylised hairstyle extends the vertical composition even further, giving the piece an almost totemic and highly sculptural presence.

The deep black patinated finish gives this sculpture a particularly striking character. Subtle brown and bronze-toned variations appear across the surface, highlighting the modelling, irregularities and texture of the terracotta. This deliberately aged finish enhances its handcrafted appearance and creates the impression of a piece belonging to an established private collection or museum setting.

With its tall, slender proportions and strong visual identity, the sculpture easily becomes a focal point within an interior. Displayed on a console table, sideboard, pedestal or dedicated plinth, it immediately structures the space and draws attention without requiring excessive surrounding decoration.

It is especially suited to a collector’s apartment, library, contemporary living room, impressive entrance hall or eclectic interior combining antiques, artworks and modern design. Its dark finish works beautifully with wood, marble, stone, metal and pale mineral-toned walls, creating strong yet sophisticated contrasts.

In a hotel, restaurant or prestigious reception area, it can also contribute to a refined atmosphere inspired by galleries and museums.

More than a simple decorative object, this sculpture introduces genuine artistic presence into the room and will particularly appeal to lovers of modern art, sculptural forms and interiors designed with a strong sense of identity.
