Remarkable set of two reproductions of Etruscan statues in metal, featuring a patinated bronze shade inspired by the Etruscan statue "Ombra della Sera".
This pair of decorative, slender and filiform statuettes draw their inspiration from an original 2 300 year old piece dating from the 3rd century before J.-C.
The original comes from the former foundries of the Volterra region of Italy, located in the Pisa province of Tuscany and discovered in 1761, this region is known for its rich metallic minerals.
It is an Etruscan votive statue, an ex-voto with various functions such as fighting the disease, conjuring the evil spell, accompanying the deceased in his tomb or honoring a divinity, often with dedication inscriptions.
