This magnificent Napoleon III style tall chest perfectly reflects the decorative elegance and ornamental richness of the Second Empire.

Its beechwood structure is finished in a deep glossy black lacquer, highlighting Boulle-style marquetry featuring red, black and gold arabesques.

The slightly curved façade is structured by seven vertically stacked drawers, each adorned with finely detailed decorative panels.

The symmetrical motifs create a refined visual rhythm, enhanced by the strong contrast between the deep black lacquer and the richness of the marquetry patterns.

The sides are also decorated with marquetry panels, reinforcing the prestigious character of the piece.

Finely chiselled gilt bronze mounts accentuate the cabriole legs and corners with elegant scroll and vegetal motifs typical of the Napoleon III style.

Traditionally composed of seven drawers : one for each day of the week, the semainier offers practical vertical storage while occupying minimal floor space.
