Very beautiful and great Napoleon III style desk with Boulle marquetry with gilt bronzes on the grounds scrolls, caryatids (faces).
The current use of this piece is to use it as middle console (presence of a drawer) or can also be used as a table.
Its shape is "violonnée" because the shape of the tray is hectic and it is similar to the shape of a violin.
Wood (beech) is lacquered black.
Ornamental bronzes and Boulle marquetry are finely executed.
The drawer can be removed.
Superb furniture that can take place in a grand interior.
